Series: Fullmetal Alchemist Details: This costume was put together somewhat quickly in the middle of all of my exams and organising the event I was wearing it to. All of the costume was pretty much bought except the waistcoat. I had to make some minor modifications - I am a chubby guy, no skin-tight top for me. I also made the top long-sleeved because it was Late November and bloody freezing. Becuase I was running around like an idiot all day I had very few photo oppertunities so didn't get a great pic. All in all this was a pretty easy cosplay - done in very little time. The trickiest thing was the tattoo on my hand which I made my own stencil for. Hints and tips?: Do not be afraid to modify something to suit your bodyshape. Many anime characters have unrealistic proportions which even the skiniest or tallest of people will have trouble with but careful costuming can make anyone look good :P I'd also note here that using face paint on your hands is not a good idea - they rub off on so many things that the face paint will be smudged horrendously by the end of the day. |
