Details: We had been planning, within the GA, doing a group Naruto cosplay. Originally I was going to do Gaara but, not knowing the series very well and not sure if I wanted to even cosplay at all, I ended up dropping him.

After a bit I realised that I probably wouldn't have fun if I didn't cosplay even if it was my first con. I picked Kankuro because he's one of the chunkier genin besides Chouji. I think if I did Kankuro again I'd change a lot. I didn't leave nearly enough time to do the costume, rushed it and wasn't too sute of this whole planning a costume beforehand nonsense. I also wish I could have done his puppet but travel restrictions meant I couldn't.

The costume was all in one piece as I don't like the two piece look some cosplayers have done. The "hat" was a nightmare. >_< Overall, though, considering the speed of its construction and the fact it was very uncomfortable to wear on a hot day I have fond memories of my first "proper" cosplay.

The "Dancing Gay Kankuro" pic you see at the side here is the only decent one I have of this costume. It's quite infamous, I hear :P the bit of pink (yes pink, it looks white due to sunny-day-ness) was borrowed from a genin-kakashi cosplayer (Thanks Mana :D)
